175th Anniversary175th Anniversary Service-February 10, 2008

When Third Creek Baptist Church was organized on February 8, 1833, there were 98 member on the rolls. On February 10, we welcomed 250 members and guests, and celebrated with special music and a covered dish luncheon following the service.

Special guest Knox County Commissioner Ivan Harmon read proclamations by both the city and county mayors honoring the church. Pastor Jimmy Stroud's sermon called on the congregation to get a vision for serving the Lord Jesus Christ and community for the next 175 years.

We celebrated Pastor Stroud's 30th anniversary as our pastor on March 20, 2005 with a special service, presentations, and one of those meals our church is famous for. Few churches are as fortunate as we have been to be blessed with such an excellent pastor (and his wonderful wife) for this period of time.
